Breeding Plans for 2017 Kidding

We will have both american nubian and purebred nubian registered kids available one to two times per year. This page is updated frequently. You may make kid reservations by emailing us at info@oakvale-farm.com. There is $100 deposit for kids. Kid prices will range from $150-$450. We will be reserving the right to retain any doelings regardless of deposit (deposit will be returned in this case).

Does are confirmed pregnant with ultrasound so that we know how many kids to expect. Kids are raised under strict CAE prevention protocols (Births are witnessed and kids are removed from dams immediately, then bottle fed only heat treated colostrum and pasteurized milk from CAE negative does). Our does are tested yearly for CAE. Our entire herd tested negative for CAE on 11/2016.  We have not had any CL abscesses in our goats or sheep. Blood testing for CL is unreliable, so we do not do this test. 

We are using artificial insemination (AI) to improve our herd genetics. We also have acquired some very nice bucks from herds on the ADGA Top Ten Performace List and show winning herds. See our Bucks page for more information.
